SpecSeal® SSC Firestop Collars are factory‑manufactured intumescent firestop devices designed for plastic piping up to 6 in. trade size. Each SSC Collar features a durable steel restraining collar paired with a factory‑applied intumescent material, ensuring the correct amount of firestop material is used on every installation for consistent, code‑compliant performance. When exposed to fire, the SSC Collar’s intumescent rapidly expands and crushes the combustible pipe, forming a dense, insulating char that helps prevent the passage of flame through the penetration. Engineered for reliability and ease of installation, SpecSeal SSC Firestop Collars provide a high‑performance solution for protecting nonmetallic pipe penetrations in commercial and residential construction.
